Some Life Hacks
In no particular order..
When you think you're at the end of your rope, dare yourself to check if you're wrong. You'll often realize you weren't actually at the end.
Go outside after a shower, especially after a cooped-up day. The blend of nature's freshness and the lingering scent of shampoo rising from your wet hair will remind you of the bigger world while keeping you gently grounded within yourself.
Notice people's highlight reels and celebrate them. Sure, they're probably leaving out the messy, real-life moments before and after that perfect snapshot, but who cares? Life is hard enough—celebrate their idyllic little details. Bonus points if you use their slices of life as inspiration to curate something beautiful in your own, even if it's barely the same thing.
Your kind of weird is actually really beautiful. Listen for the voices that lovingly reframe the parts of yourself you're unsure of, the ones that highlight how the world needs your unique quirks. Those who can only point out what's wrong with your differences are simply lacking perspective, and that's quite sad.
Figure out what fills you up, then unapologetically protect regular time to do those things.
Set boundaries with how long you'll go without showering, moms. Neglecting this will tank your mental health.
Wear the stretchy pants and comfy clothes. Revel in them. But when you start feeling like a bum, take a break and put the jeans on—even if you're not going out in public. Trust me.
Dance with your toddler when they ask you to, even if you just argued with your husband and he's standing right there. The beauty of your toddler marveling at the goodness of Mama moving her body in celebration of music should never be passed up. They'll avoid vulnerability soon enough.
Lastly, go on adventurous jaunts to discover something new that's intriguing you. My life has been forever changed by so many random deep dives sparked purely by curiosity.
